Marco Muñoz is a distinguished civil mining engineer and the visionary CEO of RedMinera, a Chilean consulting firm founded in 2000 that specializes in building business networks, securing project financing, and attracting investment in the mining sector across South America, Brazil, Canada and China. With over two decades of leadership, he has positioned RedMinera as a key player in fostering commercial and technical relationships that drive mining innovation and development in the region.

As the current President of the Space Resources Commission at the Chilean Mining Engineering Institute (IIMCh), Muñoz is at the forefront of integrating Chile’s rich mining heritage with the emerging field of space resources. His expertise spans mining project evaluation, extractive metallurgy, and economic analysis, complemented by a deep commitment to advancing sustainable practices and international collaboration. He has also held influential roles such as Director of the “Chile Exporta Minería” program and Executive Director of the Benjamín Teplizky International Mining Center, showcasing his dedication to the global mining community.
